Renee Martin-Nagle has recently joined the ranks of water professionals upon earning an LL.M. in environmental law from George Washington University in 2010 (highest honors). Her LL.M. thesis, "Fossil Aquifers: A Common Heritage of Mankind", received the 2010 Jamie Grodsky Prize for Environmental Scholarship.

Previously, Martin-Nagle had a highly successful 25-year career in aviation, beginning in 1986 as General Counsel of both Aerospatiale Helicopter Corporation (now American Eurocopter) and Aerospatiale General Aviation (SOCATA). For 21 years she served as the general counsel of Airbus Americas, retiring in January 2011 as Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Environmental Affairs, Corporate Secretary and member of the board of directors. During that time she gained significant experience in project management in a wide variety of disciplines. On one project, she led the team that designed and implemented an ISO 14001 program at all Airbus sites in the US; the program received full certification without any adverse findings less than a year after its inauguration. She also developed and implemented a compliance program for all Airbus employees in North America that included training on environmental issues.

In addition to her LL.M., Renee holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Francis University, and an Associate of Arts from Mount Aloysius College.
