Todd Jarvis, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences, the Interim Director of the Institute for Water & Watersheds, and the Associate Director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute at Oregon State University in the US. He was a consulting groundwater hydrologist for 20 years working for global water/wastewater engineering and groundwater engineering firms before joining OSU in 2003. He earned a post-graduate certificate in conflict resolution supporting his professional license as a mediator in the US and worked as a mediator for SquareTrade, the dispute resolution services provider to the online auction company eBay for three years. He specializes in process management, dispute prevention, and conflict resolution related to groundwater resources and water well construction. He co-instructs the week-long intensive course Water Governance and Conflict Transformation at OSU with international waters expert Dr. Aaron Wolf. He also teaches courses online to support The Certificate in Water Conflict Management and Transformation through OSU.
